 Nutrient Interaction means the impact of one nutrient on the metabolism of other nutrients. Among all nutrients, some nutrients enhance the bioavailability of other nutrients, and others act antagonistically for other nutrients and suppress the bioavailability and activity of other nutrients. So by keeping in mind all the basic overview of these nutrients, they have been categorized into two main sub-categories.

Synergistic Interaction

The effect of these nutrients is enhanced by the presence of other nutrients and they work more efficiently to increase their absorption and to limit their side effects. Some of the most important nutrients that act synergistically are;

Antagonistic Interaction

                                        The Interaction between two or more nutrients that suppress the bioavailability of other nutrients and one another's bioavailability.

  • Copper, Zinc, and Iron
  • Iron, Magnesium, and Manganese
  • Vitamin E, Vitamin A, and Vitamin K
  • Vitamin C and Copper
  • Vitamin B1 and Vitamuin B2
  • Vitamin K and Calcium
  • Fiber, Calcium, and Iron
  • Fats and Thiamine
